The corporate media today is a lot of hype about the Syrian government’s use of chemical weapons. It seems that a lot of chicken hawks would like to use this fact for us to go to war with Syria.

Chemical weapons; what an outrage! The audacity of those Syrians to use chemical weapons on human beings! Could this be just another excuse to engage in yet another useless war?

To me, this all seems to be a case of the pot calling the kettle black. If one just did about eight minutes of research, such as I did, one would discover that all bombs are chemical bombs. Bombs are not made of strawberries and rhubarb.

Just to name a few chemicals in bombs that explode are: sulfur, manganese, polyisobutylene, collodion, potassium nitrate, charcoal, nitrated aromatics and aluminum powder. When used in conjunction with a steel jacket, these bombs explode and destroy the limbs of all who might be nearby. Not to mention those killed and burned and homes and farms being destroyed.

Speaking of burn, another chemical, naphthalene (napalm) was used by the United States not so many years ago. Tons of it were dropped on the people of Vietnam.

Speaking of Vietnam, let’s not forget our use of Agent Orange. Even many of our own soldiers and their families suffer today because if it.

Plutonium and uranium are a couple chemicals used in atomic bombs. And what is the only country to ever use nuclear bombs on human beings?

So, when it comes to expressing outrage at those who use chemical weapons, please direct that outrage at all who use chemical weapons, not just those small countries whom we may not like.
