AUGUSTA — A bicyclist injured in a collision with a vehicle on Aug. 30 died Saturday, police said.

Terrance Ladd, 20, collided with a vehicle driven by Leona Peaslee, 27, of Augusta, who was driving north on Northern Avenue and trying to make a left turn onto Mill Street, according to Augusta police.

Peaslee pulled in front of Ladd and the cyclist did not have time to stop, said Sgt. Christopher Shaw of the Augusta Police Department. Ladd had multiple injuries and was taken to the critical care unit at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Peaslee told the Kennebec Journal she did not see Ladd.

The case is still under investigation. No charges have been filed at this point, according to Augusta Police Lt. Christopher Massey.

Police are waiting for a reconstruction report and other test results, Massey said, which they will forward to the district attorney’s office.
