Brian Malanson harvests a McIntosh apple today at Lakeside Orchards in Manchester.

The orchard cultivates 30 varieties of apples, with Cortland and McIntosh ripe to pick by visitors.

Malanson, of Vermont, and other migrant harvesters collected apples in the Brick Yard section of the orchard for sale at the farm’s market.
