FARMINGDALE — Rachel Ingram scored on a breakaway with four minutes into overtime to lift the Winthrop field hockey team past Hall-Dale 2-1 in a Western C game Wednesday.

Winthrop (3-0) opened the scoring 6 mnutes, 20 seconds into the game on a goal from Emmah Spahr. Cat Ouellette assisted on the goal.

Hall-Dale (2-1) pulled even when Nicole Pelletier scored three minutes later.

Alyssa Arsenault had six saves for Winthrop while Molly French Stahlenmaecher and Julia Stahlnecker combined for 24 saves to pace Hall-Dale.

Oak Hill 1, Telstar 0: Hayley Marshall scored two minutes into the game and the Raiders made it stand up to earn the victory at the Carrie Ricker School in Litchfield.
Lexi Fuller assisted on the goal and Abby Fuller had three saves for the Raiders (2-1).

Girls soccer

St. Dom’s 2, Monmouth 1, 2OT: Emma Bryne tied the game with 2 minutes 42 seconds left in regulation then won it with a goal in double overtime to lift the Saints to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Monmouth. Kyie Kemp gave Monmouth a 1-0 lead when she scored with 3:41 left in regulation and collided with goalie Kelly Pomerleau inthe process. Both were taken from the field by ambualnce after a delay of more than half an hour.

Kemp’s goal was the 59th of her career, two shy of the school record held by Faith Flannery. Sabrina Beck assisted. Monmouth goalie Mikayla Cameron made seven saves including a couple of breakaways while Pomerleayu also made seven saves.

St. Dom’s is 2-0-0, Monmout is 2-1-0.

Lisbon 1, Winthrop 0: Veliah Schrieber scored on a penalty kick with 17:54 left in the first half to lift the Greyhounds in a game that was stopped at halftime because a few players became ill in the heat, Lisbon coach Jake Gentle said.

Krissy Doughty had 13 saves for the Ramblers (0-2-0) while Alexandria Faultz had just one save for Lisbon (1-2-0).

Oak Hill 2, Mt. Abram 1:
Meagan Crosby scored with 25:12 remaining to snap a 1-1 draw and help the Raiders earn the MVC win in Salem.

Oak Hill (1-1-0) was credited with an own goal in the first half.

Sarenah Lariviere scored off a corner kick from Emma Houston with 38:11 left in the first half to give the Roadrunners (1-1-0) a 1-0 lead.

Oak Hill keeper Kelsey Collins and Mt. Abram goalie Allie Lopez each had three saves. 

Boys soccer

Maranacook 5, Morse 0: Chris Beckwith sccored two goals to lead the Black Bears to a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference game in Readfied. Kent Mohlar, Taylor Wilbur and Alex Tooth added goals for Maranacook (3-0-0). Goalie Brad Worster made two saves. Morse is 0-3-0.

Men’s soccer

UNE 2, UM-Farmington 0: Kyle McGlone and Tyler Garnick both scored as the Nor’Easters beat the Beavers in a non-conference game in Farmington.

McGlone scored in the 32nd minute with an assist from Winslow graduate Finn Ducker. Garnick doubled the lead in the 63rd minute.

UMF goalie Derek Reilly and UNE goalie Aidan McParland each had one save.

Field hockey

Southern Maine 3, UM-Farmington 2 (OT): Senior Natalie Harkins scored the game-winning goal in the fourth minute of overtime to lead the Huskies at Hannaford Field in Gorham.

Junior forward Peyton Dostie assisted on the game-winner for USM (3-2-0).  Jessica Boghosian also scored for USM.

Sophomore forward Meghan Hughes and Kaitlyn Bullen scored for the Beavers. Kashley Weymouth had an assist.

Also Wednesday: Lawrence graduate Jess Poulin made six saves in the Husson women’s soccer team’s 1-0 loss to the University of New England in Bangor.
