BURLINGTON, Vt. — Three players scored two goals apiece to lead the University of Maine field hockey team to a 6-0 win over Brown in the Catamount Field Hockey Classic.

Holly Stewart, Annabelle Hamilton and Nokomis graduate Marissa Shaw eached scored twice for the Black Bears (3-4).

Natasha Ford made one save for her first career shutout. Shannon McSweeney made 24 saves for Brown.

Anna Maria 2, Thomas 0: Kylie Dalbec and Luigina Cerro each scored to lift the Amcats to the win in Waterville.

Kate Breen made 10 saves for the shutout. Jasmine Bishop had four saves for Thomas (2-3).

Bowdoin 2, UMF 0: Bowdoin converted a penalty kick in the first half, then added an insurance goal in the second to take the win in Farmington.

Evan Fencik converted a PK attempt in the 26th minute to give Bowdoin a 1-0 lead, after the Beavers were called for a handball inside the 18-yard box.

Audrey Phillips scored on a blast from 12 yards out to push the Polar Bears’ lead to 2-0.

Bridget McCarthy and Casey Krause combined on the shutout for Bowdoin (2-0-1), and neither recorded a save. Beth Lebel and Amy Jones combined for seven saves for the Beavers (0-3-1).

Maine 0, Richmond 0, 2OT: Lauren Swant made four saves for her fourth shutout of the season, but the Black Bears couldn’t score and settled for a draw in Richmond, Va.

Charlene Achille had three shots, while Maggie Malone recorded a pair of shots on goal to lead the Black Bears (3-2-2).

Golf

Husson wins title: Husson shot a two-day total of 595 to win the Maine Intercollegiate Golf Championships at Bangor Municipal Golf Course.

Husson’s Porter Gervais was the medalist with a two-day score of 143.

The University of Southern Maine was second at 617, while UMaine-Presque Isle was third (636).
