GARDINER — Freshman Kalianna Lutz scored the only goal of the game as Gardiner defeated Oceanside 1-0 for its first Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B girls soccer win of the season Monday.
Morgan Carver assisted on the goal. Ally Day made seven saves in net for Gardiner (1-3-0).
Kalyn Grover stopped five shots for Oceanside (3-1-0).
Cony 1, Lawrence 0: Emily Quirion scored with 13:20 left in regulation to lift the Rams to the KVAC A victory in Augusta.
Sister Hayley Quirion assisted on the goal. Emily Quirion took a pass from her sister and out-dribbled two Lawrence defenders before scoring on the breakaway for the Rams (3-0-0).
Paige Belanger had 12 saves for Lawrence (1-2-0).
Leavitt 3, Erskine 1: Kelsea Marshall and Liliana Cousineau scored first-half goals and the Hornets made them stand as they pulled out the KVAC B victory in Turner.
Tessa Benson also scored for Leavitt (1-2-1).
Jade Canak scored the lone goal for Erskine (2-1-0) while Mattie Lajoie had 13 saves.
Field hockey
Winthrop 2, Mountain Valley 1: Catherine Ouellette scored as time expired on a penalty corner to lift the Ramblers in an MVC game in Rumford.
Rachel Ingram assisted on the goal for Winthrop (4-0). She also gave Winthrop a 1-0 lead eight minutes into the game.
Lexi Duguay scored for the Falcons (2-3).
Messalonskee 9, Lewiston 1: Kassy Michaud scored three goals and Erin Field and Brooke Quirion each added a pair to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A victory in Lewiston.
Nathalie St. Pierre, Emily Hogan and Riley Field also scored for Messlonskee (4-1). Hogan added three assists whie St. Pierre had two.
Kaylyn Labonte had 16 saves for the Blue Devils (1-3).
Spruce Mountain 5, Hall-Dale 2: Lacesra Tracy scored two goals and Nicole Hamblin added a goal and an assist to lift Spruce Mountain to the MVC win in Farmingdale.
Kayla Meserum also scored for Spruce Mountain (4-0-1).
Brooke Berberich and Shanay Gilbert scored for Hall-Dale (3-2-0).
Cony 3, Edward Little 1: Delaney Keithley scored on a penalty stroke and added two assists to lead the Rams to the KVAC A win in Auburn. Katie Carroll and Lindsay Watts also scored for Cony (3-1).
Lindsay Lapierre stopped five shots.
Julia Langevin scored off an assist from Madison DeRosa for the Eddies (0-4). Danica Nadeau made 15 saves.
Boys soccer
Monmouth 9, Oak Hill 0: Carl Fletcher scored three goals and assisted on four others to lead the Mustangs in an MVC game in Monmouth.
Hunter Richardson had two goals while Noah Bates had a goal and an assist for Monmouth (3-0-0). Mason Clement, Josh Neal and Josh Reny also scored.
Kyle Field had 27 saves for the Raiders (0-3-0).
Erskine 4, Leavitt 1: Sam Wilkinson scored two goals to help the Eagles pull away from Leavitt in South China.
The teams were tied 1-1 before the Eagles (2-0-0) scored three goals in a four-minute span during the second half to put the game away.
Ryan Rodrigue scored with 17:33 left to snap a 1-1 tie. Joe York and Wilkinson then followed with goals for Erskine.
Burgess Reilly scored the lone goal for Leavitt (1-3-0).
Hall-Dale 7, Winthrop 1: Nat Crocker scored four goals and added an assist to lift the Bulldogs to the MVC win in Farmingdale.
Josh Peterson, Brandon Bechard, Malcolm Abore also scored for Hall-Dale (3-0-0).
Tyler Nussinow scored the lone goal for Winthrop (1-2-0) while Matt Sekerak had 16 saves.
