PORTLAND — An Auburn man has been arrested on a federal warrant for a charge of possession of child pornography, according to court records filed Tuesday.
Stephen Pennington, 41, was indicted last week by a federal grand jury in U.S. District Court in Portland for allegedly having electronic devices with images and videos of minors engaged in sexually explicit activity on about May 17, 2012.
The arrest warrant was issued on Sept. 11. The single-page indictment was unsealed on Tuesday.
If convicted, Pennington faces up to 10 years in federal prison.
