AUGUSTA — Comedian Juston McKinney, a former Maine sheriff’s deputy, will perform his stand up comedy routine from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the University of Maine at Augusta in Jewett Auditorium.

McKinney, a native of New England and former deputy for the York County Sheriff’s Office, turned in his badge in 1997 and moved to New York to pursue a career in comedy, according to a news release from the university. He has appeard on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, and Comedy Central, including his one-hour special, “A Middle-class Hole.”
