AUGUSTA — Dylan Burton scored late in the second half with an assist from Quinn Warren as the Messalonskee High School boys soccer team earned a 1-1 tie with Cony High School in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Friday.

Jeff Bilodeau scored midway through the second half to give Cony (2-2-1) a 1-0 lead. Burton tied it up with 10:42 left in the half and the two teams went on to play two scorless overtimes.

Brandon Elwell had 15 saves for Cony, while Jonae Webb had 12 saves for Messalonskee (0-3-1).

Winslow 5, Leavitt 0: Logan Vashon scored twice as the Black Raiders beat the Hornets in a KVAC B game in Winslow.

Taylor Roy added a goal and an assist, while Justin Burgher had two assists for Winslow (5-0-0). Connor Wilde and Jimmy Fowler also scored goals and Alex Berard made two saves.

Ben Fullerton had 16 saves for Leavitt (1-3-1).

Mt. Abram 7, Dirigo 1: Gerardo Rio and Court Talmage each scored two goals to give the Roadrunners an MVC win over the Cougars in Dixfield.

Colin McCarthy-Edwards, Arthur Ryan and Chris Daly also tallied goals for Mt. Abram (4-2-0). Tristen Dyer and Greg Siekman combined for five saves for the Roadrunners.

Oscar Deroche scored the lone goal for Dirigo (1-4-0).

Erskine 3, Nokomis 0: Sam Wilkinson, Ryan Rodrigue and Trevor Hubbard each scored a goal to lead the Eagles to the KVAC B win in Newport.

Jared Gartley stopped six shots for Erskine (4-0-0).

Nate Buck made 17 saves for Nokomis (1-4-0).

Jack Simpson scored for Mt. View, which led 2-0 at the half. Brandon Reynolds and Kyle Crowell each had an assists for the Mustangs and Mikey Hustus had six saves.

Belfast scored twice in the second half to tie the game. Sam Kulikowski had six saves.

Girls soccer

Gardiner 4, MCI 0: Morgan Carver had a hat trick to lead the host Tigers to the KVAC B win.

Katie Owen added a goal for Gardiner (2-4-0). Ally Day stopped 16 shots.

Ryleigh Lord made 12 saves for MCI (1-6-0).

Mt. Blue 3, Brewer 2: Miranda Nicely had two goals as the Cougars beat the Witches in a KVAC A game in Brewer.

Nicely scored twice in the first half as Mt. Blue (2-3-0) took a 2-1 lead. Hope Thompson, who had a first-half assist, added an insurance goalin the second for Mt. Blue. Eryn Doiron also had an assist and Thia Bridges made six saves.

Ellie Leighton scored twice for Brewer (1-3-1). Maddy Bailey had an assist and Mikayla Henderson stopped 20 shots.

Erskine 3, Nokomis 2: Jade Canack scored two goals, including the go-ahead goal at the 29-minute mark, to give the Eagles a KVAC B win over the Warriors in South China.

Avery Bond also scored a goal for Erskine (4-1-0) and Emma McCormac had three assists.

Eagles goalkeeper Cassandra Ray made nine saves.

Kelsie Richards and Austin Taylor each had a goal and an assist for Nokomis (2-2-1). Warriors goalkeeper Becky Orcutt had15 saves.
