SALEM — Mt. Abram scored five straight goals in the second half en route to a 6-3 win against Monmouth in Mountain Valley Conference boys soccer action Saturday.

Chris Daly scored three of the second-half goals while Bryson Walker scored two. Trevor Brackley scored for Mt. Abram in the first half. Monmouth got a pair of goals in the first half from Joe Menice, the second with two seconds left, and another from freshman Hunter Richardson.

Keegan Rolbiecki had two assists for the Roadrunners while Brackley, Colin McCarthy-Edwards and Gerardo Rio each had one. Kasey Smith made 11 saves in goal for Monmouth (4-2-0) and Tristen Dyer made four for Mt. Abram (6-2-0).

Oxford Hills 3, Lawrence 2: Matt Beauchesne scored two goals and Luke Davidson added another as the Vikings edged the Bulldogs in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game in Fairfield.
The teams were tied 2-2 before Davidson scored with 1:33 left for Oxford Hills (2-4-0).

Nick Blomerth and Robby Paddack each scored for Lawrence (2-5-0). Zach Alley had 14 saves.

Winslow 3, Nokomis 0: The Black Raiders scored three first-half goals on their way to a KVAC Class B win in Newport.

Justin Burgher scored with an assist from Dakota Herman and Evan Clark scored from Jacob Hougton. Ben Smith added an unassisted goal.

Nate Buck made 21 saves in goal for Nokomis (1-6-0) while Alex Berard made six for Winslow (6-0-1).

Vinalhaven 2, Valley 1: Zeb Campbell and Avery Waterman scored a pair of goals to lead Vinalhaven in a Class D game Friday night in Bingham.

Aiden Emerson had 10 saves for the Vikings.

Jordan Gillespie had a goal and Stone Ellis had an assist to lead the Cavaliers (2-5-0).

Carrabec 5, Telstar 0: Dustin Crawford and Spencer Sidell scored two goals apiece to lead the Cobras to the MVC win in North Anson on Friday night. Tyler Reichert added a goal for the winners while Seth Burns had two assist and Paul Kaplan and John Layman one each.

Luke Angevine made 26 saves for Telster (2-5-0) while Trent Richardson made eight for Carrabec (2-4-1).

Girls soccer

Messalonskee 3, Skowhegan 1: Kassadi McPherson scored all three goals and Taylor Easler had eight saves to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A victory.

McKenna Brodeur and Mackenzie Anderson had assists for Messalonskee (3-4-0).

Michaela Lewia scored for Skowhegan (0-7-0).

MCI 1, Belfast 0: Hannah Emery scored a 1:50 into the game and the Huskies made it stand in an Eastern B victory in Pittsfield.

Hailey Stewart assisted on the goal and Riley Lord had seven saves for MCI (2-5-0).

Grace Davis had eight saves for the Lions (0-8-0).

Vinalhaven 6,  Valley 0:
Sarah James scored three goals to lead the Vikings to the Class D victory.
Deja Doughty, Molly Foisy and Gilleyanne Oakes also scored for Vinalhaven while Bailey Wadliegh had three saves.

Samantha West had seven saves for Valley.

Field hockey

Nokomis 2, Camden Hills 0: Lindsay Whitney scored both goals as the Warriors stayed unbeaten with a win in Newport.

Kendra Underhill did not need to make a save for Nokomis (9-0-0). Carolyn Keefe stopped 12 shots for Camden (3-6-0).

Winslow 6, MCI 0: Brooke Haskell had two goals and an assist as the Black Raiders blanked the Huskies in Pittsfield.

Sarah Wildes and Ciera Poulin each chipped in with a goal and an assist for Winslow (10-0-0). Mackenzie Winslow and Brittany White had the other goals, and Bethany Winkin added an assist. Delaney Wood made three saves for the shutout.

Courtney Sprague finished with seven saves for MCI (3-5-0).
