Tuesday’s passage of the Regional School Unit 12 budget is expected to cause the owner of a $100,000 home to pay $28 less in taxes to fund the budget in Westport Island and $28 more in Alna, $58 in Chelsea, $95 in Palermo, $66 in Somerville, $59 in Whitefield, $139 in Windsor and $12 in Wiscasset. A story on page B1 of Wednesday’s newspaper based those amounts on the wrong amount of tax valuation. It was an editor’s error.
