GARDINER — Alex LaPointe scored with 14 minutes, 36 seconds left in the game off an assist from Kevin Frankhauser to give Gardiner a 2-1 win over Belfast in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B soccer action Friday.
Kaleb Marston also scored for Gardiner (3-6-1). Kenneth Moore made three saves.
Wolfgang Heintz scored for Belfast (2-7-1). Sam Kulikowski stopped nine shots.
Erskine 3, Morse 0: Trevor Hubbard, Ryan Rodrigue and Zack Isbell each scored to lead the Eagles to the KVAC B win in South China.
Hubbard also had an assist. Jared Gartley made one save for Erskine (8-1-0).
Myles Day stopped 13 shots for Morse (1-7-1).
Winthrop 0, Oak Hill 0 2OT: The Ramblers outshot the Raiders 27-8 but neither team could score in an Mountain Valley Conference tie in Wales.
Matt Sekerak made 13 saves for Winthrop (1-7-1) while Kyle Field stopped 24 shots for Oak Hill (0-9-1).
Girls soccer
Winslow 1, Maranacook 0 OT: Maddy Morneault scored on a penalty kick with 3:02 left in overtime to give the Black Raiders the KVAC B win in Winslow.
Hillary Libby made 10 saves for Winslow (5-4-0).
Elizabeth D’Angelo stopped six shots for Maranacook (4-5-1).
Gardiner 2, Belfast 2: Morgan Carver scored twice as the Tigers settled for a KVAC B tie in Belfast.
Marisa Quirion and Lauren Slade each had an assist for Gardiner (2-7-1). Ally Day made five saves.
Casey McLoud and Alexis Racioppi each scored an unassisted goal for Belfast (0-9-1). Grace Davis made three saves.
Field hockey
Hall-Dale 1, Boothbay 0: Shanay Gilbert scored 13 minutes into the game as the Bulldogs earned the MVC win in Boothbay Harbor.
Molly French had seven saves for Hall-Dale (5-5-1), while Erica Eames had two saves for Boothbay (0-11-0).
Winthrop 1, Dirigo 1 OT: Each team scored a goal in the first half and settled for an MVC tie in Dixfield.
Emmah Spahr opened the scoring with an unassisted goal 5 minutes into the game. Kelsey Wilson answered back with a goal of her own off an assist from Ellie Wainwright 10 minutes later.
Alyssa Arsenault made 13 saves for Winthrop (9-1-1) while Amanda Dolloff stopped seven shots for Dirigo (5-5-1).
Spruce Mountain 2, Oak Hill 1: Kayla Meserve scored two goals, one on a penalty stroke, to lead the Phoenix to the win in Wales. Lavestra Tracy added an assist for Spruce Mountain (10-0-1) whle Kasey Richards made 11 saves.
Abby Asselin scored off an assist from Sadie Goulet for Oak Hill (6-4-1). Abby Fuller stopped seven shots.
College golf
AUGUSTA — Nate Ellis finished in a tie for 16th with a 79 for Colby at the Maine Maritime Academy Mariner Invitational on Friday.
Also for Colby, Steve Carroll had an 82. The Mules finished in eighth place with a score of 336.
