BETHEL — Jake Weeks rushed for three touchdowns to lead the Winthrop/Monmouth to a 42-6 win against Telstar in Western Class D football action Saturday.

 Weeks scored on runs of 45, 50 and 40 yards. Quarterback Jared Hanson rushed for a touchdown and threw a 45-yard scoring pass to Drew Stratton while D.J. McHugh rushed for another score.

  Stratton also set up three touchdowns with long kick returns while Zach Phinney had another long return. Linebacker Dom Cognata led the Winthrop defense while teammate Brandon Goff added an interception.

  Winthrop is 5-0, Telstar is 0-4.

Kents Hill 26, Portsmouth Abbey 18: The Huskies scored 12 points in the third quarter en route to the Evergreen Conference win, their first of the season.

Felipe Bazinet pass 5 yards to Trenton SirLouis for Kents Hill’s first score. The Huskies pulled  of a trick play for a score in the second quarter when Rafael Dagenais took a toss from Bazinet and three an option pass to Trevor Guity for a 70-yard score. Bazinet passed 15 yards to Dagenais for the Huskies third touchdown and wrapped up the scoring with a 1-yard run.

Guity led the Huskies defense at linebacker while safety Luke Arsenault had four tackles and an interception. Kents Hill is 1-3, Portsmouth Abbey is 1-2.

Girls soccer

Mt. Blue 2, Cony 2, 2OT: The Cougars took a 2-0 lead on first-half goals from Eryn Doiron and Miranda Nicely with Kiana Thompson and Caitlyn Kane assisting. Emily Quirion cut the halftime lead to 2-1 with an unassisted goal for the Rams then tied the game early in the second half with another unassisted score.

Thia Bridges made 14 saves for Mt. Blue (4-4-2) while Autumn Sudsbury made 14 for Cony (5-4-1).

Erskine 4, Morse 4: Jade Canak scored three goals and Emma McCormac added a goal as the Eagles played to a tie with the Shipbuilders in South China.

Avery Bond had two assists for Erskine (6-2-1), while Emma Wilkinson added an assist. Goalkeeper Cassandra Ray had 11 saves.

Miracle Trimble led Morse (7-2-1) with two goals.

Richmond 6, Vinalhaven 0:
Kelsea Anair scored three goals to lead the Bobcats to the East/West Conference win in Vinalhaven. Cassidy Harriman added two goals while Meranda Martin recorded a goal and four assists. Kelsie Obi made two saves in goal for Richmond (8-1-0) while Bailey Wadleigh stopped 23 shots for Vinalhaven.

Carrabec 4, Monmouth 2:
Brooklynne Lewis scored three goals and had an assist as the Cobras defeated the Mustangs in an MVC game in North Anson.

Paige Chadbourne added a goal for Carrabec (5-4-1), while Skyla Murray added an assist. Macy Welch had seven saves for the Cobras.

Kylie Kemp scored both goals for Monmouth (6-3-0).

Boys soccer

Richmond 2, Vinalhaven 1: Nate Tribbet converted two penalty kicks to lift the Bobcats to the East/West Conference win in Vinalhaven. Tribbet scored a goal in each half while Vinalhaven’s Zeb Campbell scored on a penalty kick with four minutes left to play. Dustin Sullivan made six saves for Richmond (6-2-1) while Aiden Emerson made 13 for Vinalhaven (2-6-0).
