DAMARISCOTTA — A Zombie Trail and Obstacle 5k Run will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Central Lincoln County YMCA, 525 Main St.
A Zombie Fun Run for children in first through sixth grade will begin at 10:30 a.m. All participants are welcome to dress as zombie characters. Prizes will be awarded and all participants will receive a t-shirt.
Registration takes place from 8 to 9 a.m. The race will feature runners — $50 to register — racing to the end of the course as they dodge people disguised as zombies — $50 — and jumpers — $40. All proceeds benefit scholarships.
