WINTHROP — Kelsey Stoneton scored with 14 minutes left in the second half and the Winthrop field hockey team made it stand to post a 1-0 victory over Hall-Dale in a Mountain Valley Conference game Wednesday.

Cat Ouellette assisted on the goal while Alyssa Arsenault had three saves for the Ramblers (10-1-1).

Molly French had 21 saves for the Bulldogs (5-6-1).

Oak Hill 3, Telstar 0: Kylee Veilleux scored two goals and Sadie Goulet added another to lead the Raiders to the MVC victory.

Lexi Fuller and Danielle Samson each had assists for Oak Hill (7-4-1).

Hali Barter had 19 saves for the Rebels (4-8-0).

Boy soccer

Richmond 3, Pine Tree 0: Freshman Cody Tribbet scored all three goals — all in the first half — and the Bobcats rolled to the Class D victory in Richmond.

Jonathan Simmons had two assists and Nate Tribbet had another for Richmond (8-2-1).

Ryan Pierce had 12 saves for Pine Tree (8-1-0).

Men’s soccer

Colby 5, UM-Farmington 0: The Mules scored four goals in 20 minutes early in the second half to break open a tight game and earn the non-conference win in Farmington.

Colby’s first two goals were own goals. Charlie Dupree scored for the Mules (4-5-0) to make it 3-0 in the 51st minute, then Keith Chernin scored 13 minutes later to make it 4-0. Jonathan Sommer scored the final goal of the game for the Mules.

Peter Quayle had one saves for the Mules, while Ronie Morales had 12 saves for UMF (2-7-1).

Women’s soccer

Colby 8, Husson 1: The Mules scored five goals in the second half on their way to a non-conference win over the Eagles in Waterville.

Abby Hatch had two goals and an assist for Colby (4-4-0). Ruthie Hawley and Hallie Hesslein also had a goal and an assist for the Mules. Amelie Barnett, Cami Notaro, Janie O’Halloran and Alex Yorke each added a goal for Colby. Emily Brooks had three saves and Ashley Conley had one.

Shaunna Beaudoin scored for Husson. Lawrence graduate Jess Poulin had seven saves for the Eagles and Jaclyn MacDonald had three.
