Richmond Middle School students watch exchange student Satoko Suwanai, 16, perform a traditional Japanese dance Tuesday at the school in Richmond. The school hosted 10 teenagers and four chaperones participating in the annual exchange with Hall-Dale High School. Richmond students learned about Japanese origami, music and tea ceremonies in addition to dance. Richmond schools began teaching Japanese last year, according to principal Steve Lavoie.
