GREENVILLE — The Richmond girls soccer team scored two goals in the first five minutes of the game and beat Greenville 4-1 in a matchup of the two top-ranked teams in Western D on Friday.

Kelsea Anair scored 1 minute, 9 seconds into the game to give No. 1 Richmond (11-1-0) a 1-0 lead. Autumn Acord made it 2-0 less than three minutes later. Camryn Hurley assisted both goals.

Amber Loon and Anair also scored in the second half for Richmond. Kayla Beaulieau and Chika Obi each added an assist, while Kelsi Obi had four saves to earn the win.

Shelby Ward scored for Greenville (7-2-2) and Molly Foley had 17 saves.

Medomak 0, Gardiner 0: Senior Ally Day and freshman Lauren Chadwick combined to make seven saves as the host Tigers (2-8-2) settled for a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B tie.

Chelsea Ripley finished with six saves for the Panthers (2-8-2).

Cony 5, Skowhegan 0: Hayley Quirion had two goals and an assist to lead the Rams to the KVAC A win in Augusta.

Annie Brannigan, Kassidy Turgeon and Emily Quirion also scored for Cony (6-5-1). Emily Quirion also had two assists. Autumn Sudsbury made four saves.

Shawna Quimby stopped nine shots for the Indians (0-11-0).

Boys soccer

Winthrop 2, Dirigo 0: Jacob Hickey and Sebastian Pettit each scored a goal as the Ramblers earned the MVC win in WInthrop.

Pat Ouellette and Brandon Baxter each had an assist for the Ramblers (2-8-1). Matt Sekerak made six saves.

Justin Grignon stopped nine shots for Dirigo (3-7-0).

Gardiner 1, Medomak Valley 0: Alex LaPointe scored an unassisted goal in the first half as the Tigers won a KVAC B game in Waldoboro.

Kenneth Moore had four saves for Gardiner (4-7-1), while Noah Beck had five saves for Medomak Valley (1-8-3).

Cony 3, Skowhegan 1: Bronson Kieltyka, Juan Dogre and Connor Perry each had a goal as the Rams won a KVAC A game in Skowhegan.

Anthony Paul scored the lone goal for Skowhegan (0-11-0).

Cony is now 3-8-0.

Messalonskee 3, Oxford Hills 1: Dylan Burton had a goal and an assist to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Elija Tuell and Eric Van Der Karr also scored for Messalonskee (5-4-2). Jonah Webb had seven saves.

Luke Davidson scored on a penalty kick for Oxford Hills (3-8-0).

Lisbon 2, Oak Hill 0: Kyle Whitman scored both goals as the Greyhounds earned the MVC win in Wales. Nate Bergeron made five saves for Lisbon (5-4-2).

Kyle Field stopped 20 shots for Oak Hill (0-11-1).

Field hockey

Lisbon 6, Winthrop 1: Olivia Harrington scored three goals to lead the Greyhounds to the MVC win in Lisbon.

Arianna Kahler added two goals for Lisbon (10-2-1) while Molly Nicholson had a goal and an assist.

Catherine Ouellette scored an unassisted goal for Winthrop (10-2-1). Alyssa Arsenault made 15 saves.
