BENTON — Two public hearings are scheduled at 6 p.m. Monday at the Town Office. The purpose of the first hearing is to accept comments on a proposed road opening ordinance.

The second public hearing is to accept comments on an updated general assistance ordinance which reflects changes from the 2012-2013 legislative session.

Copies of both proposed ordinances are available at the Town Office and on the town’s website bentonmaine.info. The hearings will be open to the public.
