WASHINGTON, D.C. — Jeffrey Robert Brummel achieved rank of chief petty officer in the Navy Sept. 13 at the Office of Naval Intelligence in Washington, DC.

Brummel is a graduate of Winslow High School and attended the University of Maine in Orono. He joined the Navy in 2005. He is the son of Robert and Denise Brummel, of Winslow.
