HAMPDEN — Jake Dexter had two touchdowns, one rushing and one passing as the Messalonkee High School football team earned its fourth straight win, beating Hampden 21-14 at the Weatherbee Complex on Friday.

Dexter’s touchdown pass came on a 35-yard connection to Devin Warren.

Cory McKenzie added a 3-yard touchdown run for Messalonskee, which improved to 4-3.

Hampden dropped to 4-3.

Madison 34, Camden Hills 8: Chris Hayden rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown to lead the Bulldogs to a win over the Windjammers.

Hayden also scored on defense, returning an interception 65 yards for a touchdown.

Jordan Curtis added 91 yards on 12 carries for the Bulldogs (1-6) and scored two touchdowns.

Quarterback Chase Malloy was 5 for 5 passing for 65 yards. He threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Derek LeBlanc in the first quarter.

Camden Hills (1-6) scored its lone touchdown in the third quarter, on a 2-yard run by Nick Rozsahegyi.

MDI 42, Waterville 35: Teagan Candage made an interception with less than three minutes to play and scored the winning touchdown with 22.9 seconds to go as the Trojans outlasted the Purple Panthers in Bar Harbor.

After the kickoff following Candage’s touchdown, Waterville (6-1) got the ball at its own 30 with 18.1 seconds left.

Brian Bellows completed a 35-yard pass to Jordhan Levine on first down, but Candage followd with a sack and Bellows threw incomplete as time ran out.

According to the WABI-TV broadcast, Dan Pooler ran for 217 yards on 19 carries for Waterville.
MDI is 5-2.
