THORNDIKE — Fourth-ranked Mt. View scored two goals in a span of 2 minutes, 29 seconds in the second half to take a 2-1 victory over No. 5 Dexter in an Eastern C field hockey quarterfinal Thursday afternoon.

Reanna Boulay and Braley Leadbetter had the goals for Mt. View (11-4-0). The Mustangs play at No. 1 Foxcroft at 11 a.m., Saturday. Foxcroft is 14-0-1 and has not allowed a goal this season. Dexter finishes at 10-4-1.

Dexter scored 4:54 into the game on a goal by Peyton Watson, assisted by Katie Hall. That 1-0 lead stood up at halftime, as the Tigers had two defensive saves in the first half.

“I think we played well in the first half too,” Mt. View coach Gloria Hewett said. “We just didn’t score.”
Boulay scored an unassidted goal with 15:29 left in regulation to tie the score at 1-1. With 13 minutes left, Leadbetter added her own unassisted goal.

Dinah Bilodeau had four saves for Mt. View. Kolby Kain made seven stops for Dexter. Mt. View had a 14-3 advantage in penalty corners. Hewett credited Mt. View center midfielder Kersey Boulay, center back Brittany Moody, and sweeper Cailtin Poulin with helping the Mustangs control the flow.
