My son and I stopped at a local drive-in restaurant a few weeks ago for an ice cream. When we went to the window to order, we were told that a man there was paying for everyone’s ice cream and to order what we wanted.

After we ordered and went back to our car, an older man came up and asked us if we were enjoying our ice cream. We both said yes and thanked him. He told my son that everyone needs ice cream and he enjoys watching everyone’s faces. He also said he donates to other charities and loves doing it.

I wish there were more people in the world like him. My 14-year-old son looked at me and said that experience had changed his outlook on people. He realized that people get so caught up with their lives and the negative things that they forget about the good.

So I want to thank this man for the ice cream and also for showing my son that there are still good people in this world.
