CASTINE — Billy Wetherbee ran for 247 yards and Michael Fahey scored four touchdowns to lead Maine Maritime Academy to its first win of the season, 63-52, over Nichols.

The Mariners (1-5) ran for 499 yards and averaged 8.6 yards per carry. Wetherbee scored a pair of touchdowns, while Fahey ran for 178 yards. Lawrence graduate Josh Doolan ran for 41 yards on five carries for MMA.

John Doyon led the Mariners defense with 11 tackles. Dylan Rimsky had nine catches for 158 yards for Nichols (1-6).

Wesleyan 34, Bowdoin 14
:  LaDarius Drew rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Wesleyan University football team to a win over Bowdoin at Whittier Field.

Wesleyan (6-0) totaled 383 yards of offense on the afternoon as Drew spearheaded a rushing attack that accumulated 206 yards on the ground. Bowdoin (2-4) was led by tailback Tyler Grant, who racked up 119 yards rushing in his first career 100-yard performance.

With the score tied 14-14, Wesleyan pulled away with 20 points in the fourth quarter. Josh Hurwitz took a 13-yard pass from Jesse Warren with 12:47 left in the game to give the Cardinals the lead for good.

Gallaudet 16, Husson 13
: Chase Magsig kicked a 26-yard field goal with 3:09 to play to give Gallaudet (7-0) the Eastern Collegeiate Football Conference win in Washington, D.C.

Husson tied the game at 13-13 in the second quarter when Shabashe McIntosh scored on a 22-yard run with 2:34 to play in the second quarter. Byron Jackson led the Eagles (4-3) with 111 yards rushing.
Lawrence graduate Bryant Wade and Cony grad Rick Orio each had six tackles for Husson.
