RICHMOND — Nate and Cody Tribbet had a hand in all four goals to lead Richmond to a 4-0 win against Vinalhaven in a Western Maine Class D boys soccer quarterfinal game Wednesday.

Cody Tribbet opened the scoring eight minutes into the game with a goal assisted by Jonathan Simmons. Nate Tribbet added an unassisted goal in the first half followed by a goal from Brendan Emmons assisted by Cody Tribbet. Nate Tribet wrapped up the scoring in the second half, assisted by Cody Tribbet. The Bobcats held a 30-4 advantage in shots with Vinalhaven goalie Aiden Emerson making 22 saves. Dustin Sullivan made four for the Bobcats.

“We’re playing pretty good defense right now,” Richmond coach Joe Scribellito said, citing defenders Tyler Soucy, Curt Sanderson and Sean Bernier.

Second-seeded Richmond (11-2-2) hosts the winner of the Chop Point/Greater Portland Christian in a semifinal game Friday. No. 7 Vinalhaven finishes at 6-7-0.

Lewiston 3, Messalonskee 1: The Blue Devils raced out to a 2-0 lead and then held off Messalonskee to earn the Eastern A quarterfinal victory in Lewiston.

Maslah Hassan and Abdibaari Hersi scored about a minute and a half apart midway through the first half as the second-seeded Blue Devils (12-1-2) were in control. Abdi-Shariff Hassan also scored for Lewiston.

Brandon Nale scored off a pass from Juan Cardona to lead the No. 7 Eagles (6-7-2). Jonah Webb had six saves as well.

Camden 4, Erskine 0: Peter Vannorsdall scored two goals in the first half and the No. 2 Windjammers rolled into the semifinals.

Grayson Szumilas and Zach Pitcairn also scored for Camden, which will host No. 3 Winslow at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Jared Gartley had seven saves for the No. 7 Eagles (12-4-0), who were outshot 14-5.
