FARMINGTON — Two of three men charged with assaulting a fourth man with a wooden club over a bad drug deal pleaded guilty in Franklin County Court last week.

Juan Colon, 23, of Livermore Falls, was sentenced to a suspended sentence of 18 months in prison and two years probation.

In exchange for his guilty plea, the charge of class B aggravated assault, punishable by up to 10 years in prison, was changed to class C assault.

Colon was also ordered to substance abuse counseling.

Kahner Dee, 19, of Jay, pleaded guilty to the class C assault in exchange for his sentencing being deferred for two years. If Dee successfully abides by conditions of the deferred disposition, including no contact with the other defendants and his testimony against them, the felony assault charge will be amended after two years to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.

Dee, Colon along with Benjamin York, 19, of Jay, allegedly attacked a Wilton man in July with a wooden club because of an argument that escalated over a drug deal earlier that day.

The man that Dee, York and Colon are accused of beating is also charged with criminal threatening after police said he first threw a Molotov cocktail at the three men.

Police said Jason White, 43, was using the device to scare the three men who are accused of then following White back to Wilton and assaulting him in front of his home.
