Let’s see. Gov. Paul LePage doesn’t like welfare or any spending by the Department of Health and Human Services. I believe most people would agree that this is a true statement.

So his hiring of the new auditors was a win-win for him. He knew their reputation and the large amounts of revenue they would bring to state when they were hired. He would be able to keep huge sums of money for services already provided, and have the added bonus of dentists and others who treat “welfare clients” refusing to serve them in the future because of a lack of money for services rendered.

Tell me that wasn’t his plan all along. Poor people and children don’t need dental or health care; let them go without. Only the wealthy deserve the right to be healthy.

I hope the governor never has loved ones who have have health issues but no insurance.
