Personal belongings are somewhat replaceable but loved ones are not.
On Dec. 11, my husband and I lost our home to a fire, but so much more could have been lost if it was not for a stranger passing by who spotted the fire and called 911.
Thanks to the Waterville firefighters for their quick response and for risking their lives to save the lives of my husband and our two cats. A special thank you to the firefighter who was walking around the house and heard the cries of help from my husband. The firefighter very quickly freed him from our basement, which could have become a fiery tomb.
