THORNDIKE — An oil delivery truck tipped over Monday morning on Unity Road, but the Maine Department of Environmental Protection said no oil spilled during the accident.

A Thompson Oil truck tipped over about 9 a.m. on Unity Road, according to Chief Deputy Jeff Trafton for the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office. Trafton said the driver was OK other than complaints of shoulder pain.

Maine DEP crews arrived at about 9:30 a.m., but it was mostly precautionary, according to Jessamine Logan, director of communications for Maine DEP. The department remained on the scene early afternoon and may help with the transfer of the heating oil, Logan said.

Unity Road remained close at noon as crews worked to remove the truck.
