WATERVILLE — Jordan Jabar scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Waterville to a 42-34 victory against Oceanside in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B girls basketball action Thursday night.

Jabar hit a pair of key 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to help Waterville (6-3) pull away.

Colleen O’Donnell added 13 points and 12 steals for the winners while teammate Fotini Shanos had 11 rebounds. Ashley Gardner led Oceanside (5-4) with 13 points.

GARDINER 65, MCI 56: Ally Day scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Tigers past the Huskies in a KVAC B game in Gardiner.

Rachel Quirion scored 15 points and had eight rebounds for Gardiner (6-3), while Morgan Carver scored seven points and had six assists.

MCI (1-8) was led by Brianna Lose with 17 points.

NOKOMIS 42, ERSKINE 20: The Warriors held the Eagles to 10 points over the final three quarters en route to the KVAC Class B win in South China. Kelsie Richards led the winners with 11 points while Taylor Shaw added nine. Mallory Chamberlain led Erskine with eight points. Nokomis is 10-0, Erskine is 1-7.

Brunswick 61, Messalonskee 39: Julia Champagne had 20 points as the Dragons beat the Eagles in a KVAC A game in Brunswick.

Lyse Henshaw added 18 points for Brunswick, which improves to 7-2.

Kelsey Mayo had 23 points to lead all scorers and grabbed 10 rebounds for Messalonskee (7-3).

LAWRENCE 74, LEWISTON 45: Nia Irving scored 18 points and had 12 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to a KVAC A win over the Blue Devils in Fairfield.

Paige Belanger scored 14 points and had 12 rebounds for Lawrence (8-1), while Dominique Lewis added 16 points.

Lewiston (3-6) was led by Amanda Stewart and Bri Wilson with 11 points.

Skowhegan 52, Mt. Blue 43: Morgan Buker had 14 points as the Indians beat the Cougars in a KVAC A game in Farmington.

Taylor Johnson added 10 points for Skowhegan.

Miranda Nicely had a game-high 20 points for Mt. Blue.

BOYS BASKETBALL

LAWRENCE 68, LEWISTON 65, OT: Dustin Simpson-Bragg scored 13 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter and overtime to lead the Bulldogs to a KVAC A win over the Blue Devils in Lewison.

The Bulldogs forced overtime thanks to Cole Robinson, who sunk both of his free throws with no time left in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime.

Brad King added 15 points for Lawrence (6-4).

Carlos Gonzalez led Lewiston (4-6) with 26 points.

Nokomis 56, Erskine 36: Noah Kershner had 16 points as the Warriors beat the Eagles in a KVAC B game in Newport.

Sam Brown added 11 points and Jake Winslow 10 for Nokomis (2-8).

Tyler Bailey had 15 points for Erskine (0-8).

OCEANSIDE 57, WATERVILLE 56: David Gould scored 16 points to lead Oceanside to the close win over Waterville in KVAC B play.

Isiah Stone-Patterson added 15 points for the Mariners (8-1), while Nick Judge scored 14.

Owen Brown led Waterville (5-4) with a game-high 22 points. Justin Jabar scored 15 for the Panthers.

SKOWHEGAN 49, MT. BLUE 47: Issac Witham had a game-high 26 points and the Indians held on to beat the Cougars and earn their first win of the season, in Skowhegan.

Witham made five 3-pointers. Dequan Frost added nine points for Skowhegan (1-7).

Kindle Bonsall led Mt. Blue (2-8) with 18 points, while Cam Abbott scored 16.

BRUNSWICK 52, MESSALONSKEE 41: Derek Devereaux scored 16 points as the Dragons beat the Eagles in a KVAC A game in Oakland.

Blake Gordon added 11 points for Brunswick (6-4).

Nick Mayo had 19 points for Messalonskee (7-3).

GARDINER 52, MCI 38: Seth McFarland led a blanced attack with 12 points as the Tigers downed the Huskies in KVAC Class B action in Pittsfield. Brad Weston added 10 points for Gardiner while Ed Weymouth had eight points and six rebunds and Josh McKelvey eight points. Austin Tolman led MCI (2-7) with 14 points. Gardiner is 5-3.
