HALLOWELL — Spectrum Generations will host an informal seminar on the topic of bullying at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Cohen Community Center, 22 Town Farm Road.
Francine McEwen, author of “Billy Big Ears and Bob the Bully,” will join a panel discussion with Nan Bell of the Greater Augusta Elder Abuse Taskforce and Nancy Provost of the Family Violence Project. McEwen, of Manchester, received a personal note from Barbara Bush as well as an acknowledgement from the White House on the receipt of her book, and was interviewed on Good Day Maine (Fox WPFO) during National Bully Awareness Week. Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing.
Parents, grandparents, teachers, caregivers, children and anyone concerned about or affected by bullying are encouraged to join the panel discussion. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and share stories and following the discussion, attendees will meet the panelists and author.
Admission costs $5 per adult and $3 for children 3 and older. Light refreshments will be served.
