WATERVILLE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will offera certified Hospice Volunteer training from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Monday and Wednesday evenings, Feb. 24, 26, March 3, 5, 10, 12, 17 and 19. A pre-training interview is required, as space is limited.
Volunteers share 2-4 hours a week with individuals and family members who facing a life-threatening illness. Support may include: companionship, letter writing, life review, reading, compassionate listening, respite for the caregiver, or bereavement support for family members.
There is a $30 process and materials fee. Scholarships are available. Training applications can be requested by calling 873-3615 or visit hvwa.org/help-hospice.shtml
