Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day breakfast set
WATERVILLE — The 28th annual Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day breakfast is set for 7:30-9 a.m. Monday at Spectrum Generations Muskie Center, Gold Street. Kurt Nelson, dean of religious and spiritual life at Colby College, will address the question “Where Do We Go From Here?”
Tickets cost $7 for adults, $3 for children 12 and younger. Tickets are available at Spectrum Generations by calling 873-4745, or from members of the Waterville Rotary Club.
Len LeGrand, president of the Waterville Rotary Club, will be master of ceremonies, introducing songs by the congregation and by the Getchell Street Baptist Church Choir, and dreams shared by George Mitchell School students. Rev. Effie McClain, of the Oakland-Sidney United Methodist Church, will offer the invocation, and Rev. David Anderman, of Waterville’s First Congregational Church, will provide the benediction.
The event is cosponsored by Spectrum Generations and Waterville Rotary Club.
