I’m very concerned about the inability of the Legislature to override the governor’s last veto of expanding health care options in Maine. Helping more people buy insurance will bring more of the federal dollars we have paid in taxes back to Maine to make us a healthier population.
It makes economic and moral sense.
My own representatives will vote in favor of expanding Medicare for more people. In the fall, I’ll support and contribute to candidates running against those who don’t vote in favor of expansion.
It’s a single-issue election in my mind.
