The paper recently had a very interesting article about parking for the new courthouse (“Houses behind jail eyed for Augusta courthouse parking,” Feb. 9).
Why not negotiate a deal with the owner of the former YMCA lot, rather than tear down taxpaying houses?
Besides, people wouldn’t have to walk up hill from there.
