Free tax preparation help is available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Jewett Hall at the University of Maine at Augusta.
Cash Maine, a collaboration of 10 statewide coalitions, will help low and moderate income Mainers prepare their taxes and help them find other financial education resources, according to a press release from the group. IRS-certified volunteer tax preparers will be on hand to counsel those who need help.
The group has also scheduled a session for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 8, at Mid-Maine Regional Adult Education, 1 Brooklyn Ave., Waterville.
