PITTSFIELD — Sebasticook Valley Health will offering the Living Well Program from 9 to 11:30 a.m. every Friday starting Feb. 28 and ending April 4, at the SVH Administration Building, 130 Leighton St.

Living Well is a free, six-week workshop for anyone living with a long-term health problem, connecting participants with others experiencing the isolating effects of chronic disease or pain. Living Well provides skills and information for healthier, more productive lives. Participants are encouraged to bring a family member, friend, or caregiver.

The program meets for a two and one-half hour sessions to help participants improve health one step at a time. Living Well is for anyone living with a long-term health problem, such as asthma, arthritis, cancer, COPD, congestive heart failure, diabetes, fibromyalgia, heart disease, obesity, Parkinson’s, or other chronic illness. By taking part in the program, participants can learn better ways of coping and managing their health by setting goals that are doable, working with others, finding support and solutions to problems, making daily tasks easier, relaxing, managing stress, and working in partnership with their health care teams.
