Jackman man arrested on drug charges
JACKMAN — A Jackman man was arraigned Friday afternoon in Skowhegan District Court on felony drug trafficking and misdemeanor possession charges.
Bryant Peck, 38, was arrested about 7:30 a.m. Friday following a search warrant carried out at his Coburn West Street home, said Dale Lancaster, chief deputy of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department.
The search warrant was led by Detective Lt. Carl Gottardi and the department’s search warrant team.
Police seized hydrocodone pills, Suboxone strips, a small amount of cocaine, processed marijuana, drug-related paraphernalia and illegally possessed moose meat.
Additional criminal charges may be forthcoming once the matter is reviewed by the Somerset County District Attorney’s Office, Lancaster said.
Peck remains at the Somerset County Jail.
Lancaster said there has been an active investigation since summer regarding allegations of drug activity at Peck’s home.
The seized moose meat will be turned over to the Maine Warden Service for further investigation of fish and game violations.
Peck is scheduled to appear in court March 10.
