SOUTH GARDINER — Laura (Gray) Salley, of South Gardiner, has announced the engagement of her daughter, Britney A. Salley, of Chelsea, to Daniel L. Thompson II, of Chelsea, son of Millie Thompson, of Wiscasset, and Daniel L. Thompson, of Chelsea.

Britney, also the daughter of the late Peter L. Salley, is a graduate of Gardiner Area High School, and a 2011 graduate of the University of Maine in Orono. She is employed as a referral specialist by MaineGeneral Medical Center, Gardiner, and also is the Gardiner girls’ junior varsity basketball coach.

Daniel also is a graduate of Gardiner Area High School. He is employed as a burner technician by Dirigo Waste Oil in Waterville, and is the owner of Thompson Brothers – Powersports Performance in Chelsea.
