Saturday’s town meeting results

APPROVED

Raising $20,650 and taking $21,000 from a block grant to pave a section of Ridge Road; raising $5,943 to buy a snow plow; increasing road commissioner salary by $2,000; increase hourly pay for laborers from $10.50 to $11.50 an hour.

ELECTIONS

First Assessor Robert Bowden, Second Assessor Marlene Merrill, Third Assessor Charlie Rollins, Town Clerk and Tax Collector Marilynn Smith, Road Commissioner Stanley Giguere re-elected. All ran unopposed.

OTHER ACTION

Residents voted to raise $18,613 for Upper Kennebec Valley Ambulance, and carry over the balance of $4,943 for that purpose, for a total of $23,557. That amount is an increase from the $12,669 ambulance service budget for last year.
