WOOLWICH — Police say a Woolwich woman is facing drunken driving and child endangerment charges after allegedly being found passed out in her car by the side of the road with two children inside.
Deputy Chief Marc Hagan says an officer found a vehicle pulled over in the breakdown lane of U.S. Route 1 north just before 3 p.m. Sunday.
Boys, ages 6 and 3, were in the locked vehicle.
One child could be heard saying “my mom won’t wake up.”
Hagan tells The Times Record an officer was eventually able get the woman’s attention.
Hagan says police had “probable cause” to believe the woman, 33-year-old Kathleen McGreary was drunk, and she was transported to a hospital.
She has a June court appearance. The children were released to their father.
