FAIRFIELD — Fairfield Days 2014 is set for Saturday, June 14. The theme is Our Nation’s Flag — A Symbol of Pride. Plans include stargazing at Mills Island Park (weather permitting) Friday, June 13. A 5k Run/Fun Walk and breakfast is set for Saturday at the Community Center. The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by activities for the remainder of the day at Monument Park. Events include entertainment at the Gazebo featuring a talent show, a comedian, karaoke and music. Saturday’s events will be capped off with Music Under the Stars with disc jockey Steve Collela. There will also be history tours on a horse-drawn wagon, food contests, children’s activities, vendors and a canine demonstration.

The committee needs volunteers to help with traffic control for the parade, decorated bikes for the parade, local musical acts, magicians, storytellers and/or clowns for the gazebo and crafters. Tables can be rented at the Town Office for the day in the park.

Check the Town website for more information. If interested in volunteering, call Stephanie Thibodeau at 453-2981. The Fairfield Days Committee meets every third Tuesday of the month at the Community Center.
