WINSLOW — During April vacation, the Winslow Public Library wil offer a variety of programming for children and families.

The schedule follows:

• Earth Day/Arbor Day themed story time will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 22.

Come celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day at the library. This event will be followed by a craft.

• Doll Tea is planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 22. Bring your doll and help us celebrate Caroline, our new American Girl doll, donated by author Cynthia Lord. Wear your fanciest outfit. Tea and finger sandwiches will be served.

• Poetry Slam will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 23. Celebrate National Poetry Month by participating in the poetry slam. Read something you have written or a favorite poem by someone else. For students, grades 6 and above. Refreshments will be served.

• Drop by to play a board game or build a jigsaw puzzle with your family, all day, Thursday April 24. There is a wide assortment of games and puzzles for you to enjoy.

• Book Spine Poetry is set for 3 p.m. Friday, April 25. Come to our library to create poems from book spines.

• Bird story time will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday April 26. In honor of John James Audubon’s birthday, come hear stories about birds at the library.
