SKOWHEGAN — Skowhegan scored three unearned runs on a dropped fly ball with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning and then held on to edge Cony 3-1 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A baseball game Monday.

The Rams (0-2) scored their run in the top of the first on a wild pitch.

John Swett pitched a complete game for the Indians (2-1). Chase Nelson and Adam Clukey each had doubles.

WINSLOW 10, NOKOMIS 3: Dylan Hapworth homered and pitched a complete game to lead the Black Raiders to the KVAC B win in Winslow.

Alex Berard had a triple and a single while Zach Guptill had a pair of doubles for Winslow (2-1), while Jake Trask, Ryan Dubois and Taylor Roy each had two hits.

Jacob Nichols had three hits for the Warriors (2-1).

MESSALONSKEE 11, EDWARD LITTLE 0, 5 innings: Zach Mathieu had a home run and a double to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Devin Warren added a pair of hits for Messalonskee (2-0).

Edward Little dropped to 0-2.

CARRABEC 11, BOOTHBAY 1, 6 innings: Levi Murray and Hunter Fernald combined to pitch a two-hitter and lead the Cobras to the MVC win.

Trent Richardson and Dustin Crawford each had two singles and two RBIs for Carrabec (1-0) while Will Crawford chipped in with two singles and an RBI.

Boothbay falls to 0-1.

MT. VIEW 8, MCI 7: Mike Hustus had a triple and scored twice to lead the Mustangs to the KVAC B win in Thorndike.

Cole Hannan added a double and two RBIs for Mt. View (1-2) while Erik Larrabee added two singles and scored twice.

Parker Morrison had two singles and three RBIs for MCI (0-3). Greg Vigue chipped in with two singles and an RBI.

ERSKINE 10, LEAVITT 2: Tyler Bailey had a double, three singles and two RBIs to lead the Eagles to the KVAC B win in Turner.

Zack Isbell added a single and three RBIs for Erskine (1-1) while Mark Buzzell chipped in with a single and RBI.

Levi Morin took the loss for Leavitt (1-1).

SOFTBALL

MESSALONSKEE 11, EDWARD LITTLE 7: Mollyann Killingbeck hit a home run and drove in three runs to help the Eagles grab the KVAC A win in Oakland. Kylee Knight had a triple, two singles and two RBIs for the Eagles (2-0).

Taylor Easler had two hits, including a double, for Messalonskee as well.

Danny Knight had a triple and a home run for the Red Eddies while Karle Stubbs had three singles.

MADISON 16, ST. DOMINIC 0, 5 innings: Emily McKenney struck out 13 and didn’t allow a hit as the Bulldogs rolled to the MVC victory at Thomas College.

Kirsten Wood had four hits and five RBIs, including a three-run triple. Erin Whalen chipped in with three hits and four RBIs for the Bulldogs (2-0).

St. Dom’s dropped to 0-2.

CARRABEC 16, BOOTHBAY 0, 5 innings: Paige Chadbourne had two singles, scored three runs and stole four bases as the Cobras (1-0) cruised to the MVC win in North Anson.

Brooklynne Lewis had two singles and two RBIs and Liberty Chestnut had a double and drove in three runs.

Boothbay dropped to 0-1.

CONY 12, SKOWHEGAN 9: Senior Olivia Deeves had a two-run single in the top of the 11th inning to help lift the Rams to the KVAC A victory.

Arika Brochu struck out 14 and pitched the complete game to earn the victory for Cony (3-0), which trailed 8-5 after three innings. Deeves finished with five singles.

Mikayla Toth, Eliza Bedard, Kaitlyn Therriault and Emma Fitzgerald each had two hits for the Indians (2-1).

LAWRENCE 16, LEWISTON 1, 5 innings: The Bulldogs pounded out 14 hits on their way to the KVAC A win in Fairfield.

Paige Belanger had a home run and a single to lead the way for Lawrence (2-0). Emily McLean added a double and a single while Molly Moen, Abby King, Sarah Chace and Audri Fortier each had two singles.

Meagan Mathon had two singles for Lewiston (0-2).

LEAVITT 5, ERSKINE 1: Kaitlyn DeBlois had two doubles to lead the Hornets to the KVAC B win in Turner.

Ashley Kelly also doubled for Leavitt (2-0).

Kaitlyn Sutter led Erskine (0-2) with two singles.
