The second of three economic forums for Wilton business owners will focus on preparing buildings to attract tenants, buyers or investors.

The forum is scheduled for 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. May 8 at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Wilton, according to a news release from Town Manager Rhonda Irish.

The session, the second in the series of Wilton’s Future … Advanced Manufacturing, Agriculture, Energy, and Technology forums will be led by Mike Lyne, of JHR Development, a real estate development firm with offices in Brunswick and Marblehead, Mass.

Lyne will discuss how building owners can prepare their buildings to attract tenants, buyers or investors. He also will offer ideas about low-cost improvements and where to invest to get the largest return on the investment.

Some the development company’s projects include developing space around the Brunswick Station, retrofitting the former Barber Foods industrial building and redeveloping space at the former Navy commissary in Brunswick into the Wicked Joe Coffee headquarters, according to the release.

The forum is open to Wilton business property owners as the first priority and to Franklin County business property owners as space allows.

To reserve a space, contact Alison Hagerstrom at Greater Franklin Development Corp. at 778-5887 or at ahagerstrom@greaterfranklin.com by Monday.
