OAKLAND — Messalonskee remained undefeated in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A baseball play Tuesday thanks to a series of clutch plays in their 3-1 win over Hampden.

Jake Dexter led off the third with a single, stole second and then advanced to third on a hit by Jonathan Wilkie. Dexter then stole home to get Messonlonskee on the scoreboard, while in the bottom of the fourth Caleb Bean’s RBI single scored Trevor Gettig for what would prove to be the game’s winning run.

Devin Ward picked up the win on the mound for the Eagles (5-0), while Dexter, who finished with two hits, came on in the seventh for the save.

WATERVILLE 7, MT. VIEW 0: The Purple Panthers took advantage of four Mustang errors and A.J. Godin tossed six strong innings of two-hit, shutout ball Tuesday in the KVAC B win for Waterville.

Cam Gardiner went 3-for-4 with with two runs scores and two RBIs, while Aiden Fitzgerald went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Kaleb Kane and Adam Barrer chipped in with one hit apiece for Waterville.

Jack Axsom and Erik Larrabee accounted for Mt. View’s two hits, while Kenny McGray had a solid outing on the mound despite taking the loss. The Mustangs fell to 2-5 with the loss, while the Panthers improved to 5-1.

BRUNSWICK 3, MT. BLUE 1: Cam Abbott and Colton Lawrence each smacked doubles, but it wasn’t enough for the Cougars, who fell to the Dragons in Farmington.

Abbott pitched the entire game for Mt. Blue (3-3), striking out five batters.

Satchel Toole earned the win on the mound for Brunswick (4-1), striking out three batters.

WINSLOW 12, MCI 1: The Black Raiders topped the Huskies in a KVAC B game in Pittsfield.

Brandon Ward, Ryan Dubois, Ben Smith, Alex Berard and Dylan Hapworth each had two hits for Winslow (5-1).

Paul Dionne had the lone hit for MCI.

ERSKINE 9, BELFAST 6. 9 inn.: The Eagles scored three runs in the ninth to pull out the KVAC Class B win in Belfast. Zach Isbell, Tyler Bailley and Ryan Rodrigue each singled home runs in the inning. Rodrigue finished with two singles, a double and triple while MIchale Cayouette singles three times and Isbell and Bailey each singeld twice. Luke Peabody got the pitching win in relief of Jared Gartley. Belfats is 3-3, Erskine is 2-4.

NOKOMIS 5, MEDOMAK 1: The Warriors plated three runs in the top of the first on hits from Zach Ramsdell, Noah Kershner, Andrew Dyer and Ray Girroir and never looked back in their win over the Panthers. Aron Smestad picked up the win on the mound for Nokomis, allowing four hits and one run while striking out four in six innings pitched.

ERSKINE 4, BELFAST 3: The Eagles (1-5) scored two runs in the top of the seventh and held on in the bottom half of the inning to earn their first win in KVAC B action Tuesday.

Mallory Chamberlain picked up the win in the circle, while Taylor Boucher and Amber Grady each finished with a pair of singles. Ashley Littlefield suffered the loss for Belfast (3-3) despite striking out 15 Erskine hitters.

WINSLOW 15, MCI 1: Hillary Libby allowed one run and one hit over six innings while striking out 10 to help lead the Raiders (4-2) to a win over the Huskies.

Offensively, Jenna Petrovic had a triple, single and three RBIs for Winslow, Liz Pullen chipped in with three singles and two RBIs and Hannah Doble added two singles and two RBIs. Hailey Stewart had the lone hit for MCI.

MT. BLUE 12, BRUNSWICK 4: A seven-run second inning helped the Cougars cruise past the Dragons. Maranda Currier had a triple, home run and three RBIs for Mt. Blue (3-3), while Kiana Thompson finished with two singles, three runs scored and four stolen bases. Hannah Escoe picked up the win in the circle. Julia Carpenter and Mary Sasso each had two singles for Brunswick (0-5) in the loss.

MT. ABRAM 8, LISBON 7: The Roadrunners kept the Greyhounds off the scoreboard in the final two innings to hold on for the one-run victory.

Katie Jordan — who was also the game’s winning pitcher — had three hits for Mt. Abram (2-3), while Olivia Ryan and Abbie Brackley each finished with two hits. Minica Austin lead Lisbon (1-3) with three hits.

MESSALONSKEE 15, HAMPDEN 3, 6 inn.: The Eagles collected 15 hits on their way to the KVAC Class A win in Oakland. Kristy Prelgovisk tripled and singled, while Delaney Collins doubled and singled and Taylor Easler had three singles for Messalonskee (3-2).

GIRLS LACROSSE

MESSALONSKEE 13, MT. ARARAT 12: Nathalie St. Pierre, Kristen Kern and Allison Fischang each had hat tricks to help lead Messalonskee (2-1) over Mt. Ararat (1-2) .

Mikayla Turner had a strong game as well for Messalonskee with a goal and four assists, Sydney Gagne netted a pair of scores and India Languet scored once. Lucy Guarnieri chipped in with an assist, while Sydni Collins made three saves in the win. Carly Raymond had a game-high four goals for Mt. Ararat.
