NEWPORT — Becky Orcutt pitched a two-hitter and belted two doubles and a home run to lead unbeaten Nokomis to an 11-0 win against Medomak Valley in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B softball action Wednesday.

Courtney Carlson had three singles for Nokomis (6-0) while teammates Drew Graves doubled and singled and Libby Donovam singled twice.

Hannah Marks doubled for Medomak Valley (2-5)

SPRUCE MTN. 7, MT. ABRAM 4: The Roadrunners came up short in a game that saw Mt. Abram and Spruce Mountain combine for 12 errors. Katie Jordan had a solid day on the mound for the Roadrunners (2-4) despite suffering the loss as she struck out nine and gave up seven hits.

TELSTAR 10, CARRABEC 0: Jessie Dirago allowed one hit to lead the Rebels to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Bethel. Becca Howard led the winning attack with three doubles and asingle while Dirago added two singles. Telstar is 4-1, Carrabec is 3-2.

FOREST HILLS 18-23, RANGELY 1-11: The Tigers had 24 hits between two games to sweep a doubleheader against the Lakers. Haley Cuddy went the distance and struck out nine to get the win in the opener, while Linda Reilly had two doubles, a single and two RBIs. Anna Carrier added two singles, one double and three RBIs, while Cailtin Logstan chipped in with two singles and an RBI. Taylor Esty and Blayke Morin each had multiple hits for Rangely.

In game two, Rangely was within striking distance down 12-10 but Forest Hills plated nine in the bottom of the fourth to break things open. Reilly had a huge game with two doubles, two singles and six RBIs, Carrier finished with two doubles, one single and five RBIs and Dana McNally chipped in with two singles, one double and four RBIs for Forest Hills (2-2).

Esty led Rangely (0-2) with three singles, one double and an RBI, while Natasha Haley finished with one double, one single and two RBIs.

BASEBALL

CARRABEC 10, TELSTAR 0, 6 innings: The Cobras scored five runs in the top of the second inning to take control and win the Mountain Valley Conference game in Bethel.

Hunter Fernald and Levi Murray combined on the two-hit shutout. Christian Miller doubled for Carrabec (2-3).

Chris Chappy had both Telstar (0-5) hits, stroking two doubles.

DIRIGO 12, MADISON 1, 5 innings: Cain Hutchins and Nick Hall each drove in three runs to lead Dirigo to the MVC win in Madison.

Tyler Frost and Jack Brown each drove in two runs for Dirigo (4-1). K.P. Carpenter had an RBI single for Madison (2-4).
