At a time of planetary over-population, climate change, too many guns in the wrong hands, and political squabbling in Washington, what a treat it was to see folks in Elizabethan garb — especially Emily Fournier, Lyn Rowden and Joshua Fournier, who made a splendid Bard of Avon — spouting poetry on Main Street in Waterville to celebrate Shakespeare’s 450th birthday!
I wanted to leap up and cry, “Let me not to the marriage of true minds admit impediments,” from one of his loveliest sonnets.
