Staff writer Matt DiFilippo catches up with Mt. Blue softball players Kiana Thompson, a senior left fielder, and Lauren Guppy, a sophomore shortstop. The Cougars won just three games combined over the last three seasons but jumped out to a 4-4 start. They are amongst a handful of teams contending for a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A playoff berth.
