Wilton voters can learn more about the candidates for the Board of Selectmen at a meet-and-greet event on Wednesday.

The candidates will gather from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Calzolaio’s Pasta Company, with light refreshments and a cash bar available from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

Candidates have been asked to share their interests and background, answer one question from the moderator and then take questions from the audience, according to a press release from the Wilton Group.

Candidates for one of two three-year terms on the select board — the only opposed position on the ballot — are John Black, incumbent Terry Brann, Scott Nichols Jr. and Gerald Whitney.

Incumbent Paul Bekey, running unopposed for the other three-year seat on the select board, and Keith Swett, running unopposed for a Mt. Blue school board seat, will also participate.

Voting will take place 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 10 at the Town Office. Voters should enter through the rear door to the meeting room in the basement of the building.

The annual Town Meeting is 6:30 p.m., Monday, June 16 at Academy Hill School.
