With the usual campaign signs beginning to clutter the landscape, I’d like to take this moment to thank those businesses that make their party loyalty known.
Years ago, businesses knew better than to reveal their political leanings because there was always a risk that they might alienate their customers. If nothing else, it reveals poor business sense, which automatically makes me question how well these businesses are run.
I am addressing those signs that are not in the rights-of-way, but clearly on the property of these businesses.
As Maine’s same-sex marriage referendum approached the vote, I took careful note of which companies displayed anti-SSM signs. I no longer patronize those businesses, and wish to thank those who currently make my shopping decisions easier.
